The formula we have chosen for this is considered the best of the monobath formulas, created by Geoffrey Crawley in the 1960s. Monobaths are popular with people starting out in home development as they are easy to use and do not require any other components other than an optional wetting agent. I believe this formula will also find some fans among those who want a high contrast heavy grain look reminiscent of older newspaper images. Geoffrey Crawley's FX-6a Monobath comes in a one litre bottle and is good for 8 to 10 rolls of film
